Default is the there an Old H9 Cap232 and new???

Hey Fellows
Here;s the deal I'm getting ready to trade a plane for a plane, and the plane I'm trading for is a H9 33% Cap232, I have always wanted one of those in my hanger collection, But what I what to know is, the guy that I'm getting the Cap has had the plane for two years, and its brand new never been out of the box, so what i'm wanting to know is,I heard from someone or maybe I just dreamed it but was there two different kinds, or should I say maybe the colors were a little different, or has the plane always been the same???

Thanks Guys

Randy

Know what I meant was is the H9 232 33% Cap any different from two years ago until they stop making them, i was wondering if its the same plane, no mods or anything, i thought I heard from someone saying the H9 did some re-mods to the newer ones before they stop making them, is this true or is it the same plane it was from the get go??

thanks

Randy

I think the only difference was the early ones had one servo per aileron and the later ones had two servos per aileron. I have one I bought NIB in June '04 that has two servos per aileron. I'm just now starting on it and can't decide on a motor. I hope this helps. Tony C.

33% H9 CAP 232 hasn't changed... at least not in the last several years... no wait, there is one thing... they don't make em anymore ;-(
I've been flying one for a couple years now. It's an excellent flying plane. You're gonna love it. I'm in the process of changing out my ZDZ 80 for a BME 102.

You may be thinking of all the trouble H9 had with the very first runs of Edges. I have seen one fold a wing in flight. There were no problems with the Cap. If your in to 3D you lovr this plane! Good luck.

The H9 33% Cap 232 has never been built with one aileron servo! The 25% Cap had one servo per aileron but not the 33%.

Which Edges? The 1/4 scale (Blue and Yellow) or the 33% (Red, White,Blue)? I know the 1/4 scale had a ton of problems, but I really don't want to hear about 33% problems since I have one sitting here with 4 flights on it.

After the H9 Cap 232 (33%) was out of production for awhile, the people who made the plane produced a run for Chief Aircraft. There was some speculation at first that this was a new, improved Cap, but it turned out that it was exactly the same plane, and the rumors were dispelled. The Cap never had a single-servo wing. Somebody is confusing that with the early Extra 300 from H9. It had the single-servo wings, and there were quite a few that had flutter-induced crashes. So H9 issued a warning to use only high torque, metal-geared servos, then pulled the plane from production and replaced the wings with two-servo wings. The H9 33% Cap stayed the same from first to last run. I've had one for a few years and love it. Mine's DA 100 powered, and a real winner. Good luck with yours.[8D]
