Yeah the gear is great! I actually plopped it in one day, heard a crack but the gear was fine. I was starting to pack up for the day and noticed the wing was hard to get off. Well the formers that the gearplate attaches came up through the wing saddle. I found very little epoxy in this area. Dumped some epoxy in the joint and shes been fine ever since.. And the gear didnt break then at all..

I'm thinking about selling the airframe and maybe getting one of those EF 88" Yak.. I have the 74" and it's awesome..

Take Care,
Frank

Got a real solid 13 min flight in today, the plane still does it all really well. KE is king! and the MVVS 58 ProSport on a NX 24x8 pulls like a freight train, now that the motor is good and broken in I might switch back to a 24x10! I cant say enough about the characteristics of the plane it flys really nice lines and can 3D too. It makes it look too easy. I'd still be flying except that I lost two cowl bolts durring the flight and had no spares, so off the the LHS.

Hi Ken,

It's been a while since I was supposed to maiden it because of weather, vacations and such, but I'm happy to report I flew it today for the first time and this is one awesome airplane!! It will fly fast or slow and the controls are still very responsive when it's going slow. I don't fly 3d so I can't comment on that but it is a great flying plane. It flies like it's on rails and stalled straight ahead with very little effort to get it flying again. I love it!!

Shawn

Shawn,

Great news! Hope you will enjoy it for a long time to come. It's definitely one of the best tracking planes I've flown. I put another one together again this spring and have been flying the heck out it.

Greetings,

I have finally gotten several flights on my Yak and I must say that is flies great. I have one problem though, it seems that the left gear strut has begun to delaminate and I need to replace the gear struts. I was wanting to replace the stock struts with a carbon fiber set and was wondering what you guys would recommend. I was looking at the set from SD Models but I don't know if it would fit so I figured that I would ask what you guys are using.

Thanks,

Mark
