Default Split Elevators or not?

Hi,
I've just got my first 1/4 scale (just sneaks in), but the model comes with a Y-piece as a connection for the elevators. I'm not a big fan of this at all, as I have lost models over it. Would it be worth switching it to a 2 servo job? I feel it would, but I've never done a set-up like this. I have plenty of room in the aircraft.

But how would they be connected, Y-lead, matchbox, because of getting the throws equal.

I'm not using digital servos, so the servo programmer is out of the question.

BTW, the model is the H9 1.20 Edge 540.

Thanks for any help

You can run dual servos on the elevator if you have enough channels on your radio. 1 uses the standard elevator spot and the other uses channel 5(I think). Works great. I however recently bought the programmer and digital hitechs and WOW is it a great set up. I am running both elevator servos on a Y harness and they work so well together after I matched them up.

I run one server per elevator half all the time.
I use channel 2 (normal) & channel 8 (reversed) on my 8 channel Futaba Rx.

Actually I believe that the programmer can be used to reverse a hitec analog servo.

My 1/4 scale extra has two servos for elevators (1 for each half), and I believe I used the programmer to reverse one of the servos. I could be wrong, I have had this airplane a long time and all I can remember is I had this issue to deal with.

Your solution choices are:
1) Have one servo arm pointing up and the other pointing down to make elevator halves move same direction.
2) Use a special Y-harness with one lead inverting the signal(I don't like this idea).
3) Have one of the servos altered to operate backward.
4) Use the programmer to reverse one of the servos.

Option 1 wouldn't work for me becuse the servo location was too close to the stabilizer blocking servo arm movement.

I did purchase a special Y-harness with a reversing lead, but decided not to go this way and removed the y-harness.

I know I did not go with option 3...I have never altered a servo in this matter nor have I ever purchased a reversed servo. (probably the best solution IMO).

That leaves only option 4 which leaves me believing that the Hitec programmer can reverse an analog servo.

The 9303 will let you use duel channels. I always do. It makes the set up much easier. Dennis

So if the radio does allow, it how would I do it?
