Not sure what the cause of the 'twin' incident. I believe that he was inverted and was one of the tree casualties. It was like a shredder coming thru the other side... Wow!!! Last I knew, the plane in the tree was still there :^) I asked Bob Sadler what they were going to do. He thought that they were going to try and get a cherry picker to get it out...

A few things that I left out (I was video taping also so I couldn't take pics at the same time).

Jason Knoll doing the lowest 4 point rolls of anyone, Wow!!!

Curtis Youngblood doing a heli demo. If you ever get a chance to see him fly, go!!!

Mark Leesburg flying an all electric 42% Dalton Aviation extra

Frank Knoll and another person, I believe Matt (sorry) doing a precision flying demo with 2 planes. The end is excellent. They both go high then turn off both motors while flying identical maneuvers down to a 4 point right before landing!!!!

Bob Violett flying his F86

The flying Farmer, Fun fly champ with his flying wing. Excellent demo, a must see.

Jason Shullman flying the Comp Arf Pitts 12 Bipe and playing 'stump the chump' where different maneuvers are called out and Jason flies them!!!!!

Quique flying his Yak (100cc this demo)

DA with the Oracle bipe and the prototype DA 200

Rchowcase flying a 54% extra with a prototype 420cc (2 zdz 210s) engine

Jon, great pics. This was my first year and the pics do not do this event justice. Nothing but tons of great people, beautiful airplanes and good fun.
Even with all of the different personalities and backgrounds, everyone treats eachother with respect and has fun. Pat Hartness, Bob Sadler and the rest of this team deserve tons of respect for making this event as wonderful as it is. I already can't wait until next year.
Here is a pick of Bob Sadler Picking a 40%'er from the tree. Craig

I just got back from "The Nall" about an hour ago.

Can you say YEEE HAAAA!!!!

I took 4 hours of video Fri and Sat, and 6 rolls of 35mm film. Our club prez shoots pix for Nascar and had his stuff there. His digital has about a bazillion megapixels (I think it's about 30 or so) and he filled the memory several times (it's in the gigabyte range). We looked at some of them on his laptop last night. He got one of Matt Chapman coming down the runway at knife-edge, you could read his instruments thru the canopy---- I swear! Our website will have our photos soon. www.wham-rc.org

I just got back from "the Nall" about 2 hours ago, was there since Thurs morning.

Can you say Yeeee HAAAAAAA !!!!!

I took my 1/5 scale (or as all the Extra, Cap, Edge, etc owners would say, 20% size) L-4 down with me. After watching for about 10 minutes after I got there, I said, NO WAY am I going to get out there. WAAAAAY too busy for me. So I got up at 6 am on Friday and flew for 45 minutes; I was the first non-electric plane in the air. Actually, I had started up and was taxiing to take off, and the Vultee Vibrator cranked up, it had been moved out of the hangar the night before. I got off the runway and he taxied up to the far end and took off back toward the lake. Pretty awesome, standing at the flight stations when he came by. By now there were two or three others there to fly, and we all got in the air for about 5 minutes, and someone yelled from the gazebo that he was coming back, so we all got out of the way. He came right down the runway at about 30 feet at full throttle, had to have woke everybody there up. Wish my alarm clock sounded like a big radial. After he passed, we got some more flying in before he came back and landed, and then we flew some more.

Today, I got up again early and got to the flight line about 6:15. There was a low mist hanging at ground level about 3 feet deep, and a small fog bank at the upper end of the runway. I took off (1st plane today) toward the lake, NO wind, and flew around, over the fog, and then dropped down through it to about 25 feet. I wish and hope that somebody got a picture of it. My bungees were too soft and I dug the prop when I landed, just killed the engine. Added some more rubber bands and flew again, ran two full tanks out just going back and forth, did some touch and go's and landed, gave up to the others who were starting to arrive. I'm certainly not the pilot most of the others I saw this week are, but I had about as much fun as I could stand, got to fly twice at Joe Nall (my 1st trip there) and didn't have to wait in line at all, saw some of the most awesome airplanes and incredible flying there could possibly be. I took 6 rolls of film and shot 4 hours of video, saw the aerobat go into the tree, saw it rescued (got pictures, too) and got video of the helicopter taking out the Joe Nall Banner at the noontime show today.

Like I said,YEEEE HAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't see them there, but I wasn't around that much.[&o] I hope they come back this year and have some fun. You and anybody else are welcome also. As usual there will be a LOT of flying to be had.

P.S. do you still have your stadacher? If so bring it this year.[8D]
