Are the wings FOAM core or built up? What other parts are foam if any? What canister muffler are you recommending? Is there room for a Slimline Pitts muffler?

Hello,
We used a Pefa cannister that worked well. Plenty of room for a slimline also. The wings are built up. The turtle deck and the belly are the only foam sheeted items.
Thanks
John

I thought my 1st questions has been asked and answered but I can't find it, so here goes. 1) Do you know for sure what covering is going to be used? 2) If running the cannister that you had in the prototype, is there any special tuning knowledge that is needed (such as with tuned pipes)? I'm looking at this plane as possibly being my first gasser and need a motor/muffler combo that is basically plug-and-play.
Thanks for the information.
Dan

Hello,
The covering is what they order for thier planes from germany. They produce planes for many large companys. I will have photos showing the cannister install in the manul that will be online next month. Nothing special is needed as you will see. I hope this helps.
Thanks
John

Hey John;
What engine have you been using and how does it balance out . Is there any weight added to front or rear of plane, and what is the total weight of the proto plane.
thanks,
Stacy

Hello,
The DA 50 has no problem to balance. No additional weight is needed. Finished weigh RTF was 16lbs 8 oz with a Pefa Cannister. Let me know if I can help further.
Thanks

Hello,
It has all the same items as the Velox. Carbon Rod for the pushrods, control horns, clevis's, tailwheel assy, instrument panel, graphics, all the nuts, bolts and screws needed. You need to get a fuel tank, tubing, pull-pulll rudder assy, axles and wheels. Its pretty complete. Let me know if I can help further.
Thanks
John

Ahh ha, a new question for you
While I like the color scheme of the new Yak, I am not to keen on the big company logo. Does that logo come off of the plane and it's up to the owner to install it or are we stuck with it?

First off, I just want to say that I am impressed with your customer service and public relations. I actually never seen support like this from any company. That is one reason my next airplane will be the Aerotech Yak 50CC. I've never owned a large scale plane, so this is all new to me, but exciting. Being inexperienced in gas airplanes as I am, I was wondering what type of configurations most of you are going to run in this plane. Such as, type of engine, radio, servos, batteries, and all parts that are involved. A complete parts list would be great. I just want to get an idea of all the cost in this plane. I'm sure this will be posted in the future, but I just wanted to get a head start. Thanks guys.

John,
From photos on your website, I saw there is a flange inside the cowl, does it snap on to the nose without using screws ?
It is getting close to October, is late October, early November a firm date that you are getting the Yaks ?
Thanks.

Hello,
To answer a few questions. The logos are not on the plane. They are in the box for the customer to apply if he wants. Also The cowl flange is molded in the cowl. Nothing is seperate. The delivery dates are the same. We had a production report last week and were still on track.
Thanks
