Default Best Flying 33% Plane for ZDZ-80. OPINIONS PLEASE!

Hey guys, I just crashed my 33% h9edge sunday from radio lockout. I am so mad. I only had about 10 flights and it was turning out to be a decent plane. Heres my Question though. I still have my equiptment so I need a new toy. I liked the way the H9 flew, but I wouldnt want to assembly another one (too many little things werent done). Whats your opinion for for a SICK 3D 33% plane on ZDZ 80?

Either a WH Extra 260 or a DR Hobbies 2.6M Extra should be pretty good.

34% Planes Plus - I have one with a ZDZ80 w/JMB Cannister and it 's a lot of fun to fly. Only thing I've flown ( 33-34% ) that may be equal is my H9 Cap w/ZDZ80. The PP, CHP, or RC Superstore are a tremendous buy. I had a BME 100 EVO on mine till the crankcase cracked and I put the ZDZ on it. I don't know if I'll put the BME back on when it gets here or not. The ZDZ is "Plenty-o-power"...........................

All seem like good choices. The only ones I can tell you from firsthand experience are the H9 Sukhoi, Extra330S and DR hobbies 2.6 Extra. The Sukhoi is better than good. The H9 Extra is better than that. And the DR Extra is probably the best of the bunch. And the best part is you can build it right at 22 pounds or less with the ZDZ 80!

I'll second the WildHare 260! That's what I'm flyin' now. Mine is on the RCS can; Lotsa power and super quiet! The plane is super smooth and goes where you want it with very little mixing needed.

The Planes Plus Lew suggested is very nice as well. I've seen and flown his!! The hardware that comes with that one is amazing!

Good Luck

The WH 260 is a very nice setup and looks fantastic and Gary's been doing a good job of kicking my butt with it. I'm going with the PP for the value (price and hardware are outstanding).

If you mean most potent power setup with 80 and an in cowl muffler?
stay under 22 lbs -which plane you choose matters little -except for weight -the weight means everything -the rest -except for wing loading -means very little .
IF-you will use a header and a large JMB- 24 lbs max - still strong vertical
use 26x10 Mejzlic or similar that runs in high 6000 rpm range -
IF you use a full tuned pipe such as th new AMT power is better yet -same prop runs very high 6000-- for 3D that scoots you want that sucker running 7000 in the air .
We have a potful of 3D electrics and I like my gassers to at least seem somwhat like them.
Is that sick?

I was addressing the current 80
I am sure the new engine will fly 40 pounds -
BS, right?
30 lbs? ya-just not very frisky
best real snappy performance -25lbs here - likely 27 lbs at sea level using the JMB can & 5" long header -really simple setup
My test engine turned the 26x12 ZM at 6450 on the ground.
I hate loading a plane or engine to max .
When the weather gets hot and the wind blows -these setups fall flat on their butts.
I tached 7400 in the air on this prop - lots of reserve power for any maneuvers
