Default Painting stripes on Fabric covering

I covered my 1\4 scale cub with White 21st Century Fabric.I want to paint the details on it. Instead of cutting out of fabric. What would be the best way of doing this?I tried 21st century paint on a sample piece. Seems to be okay, but looks to me it's going to take alot of paint. Is there some other technique that would be more cost affective.Any sugesstion??
Thanks, Mike

Default Painting over 21st Century Fabric

Mike,
I got really good results with Rustoleum from a spray can. Use good masking tape (car type) and rub the surface with a white (fine) scotchbrite pad before spraying. One coat is all that is required. I will add the pictures I have of the process when time permits to scan them. Hope this helps.

P.S. Vinyl lettering is good also for use over this. I cut vinyl for signs, planes & ??? // working on the website now.
