RCPILET: Things I like about your beautiful RC trailer----1) The ferrous meterorites on the roof. You must have a magnetic power supply in there, as all of them are in the front; 2) The dog has not one, but TWO pails of water to refresh himself. Shows you love your pets. 3) No expense spared on the porch rails. They look real sturdy 4) The ramp so you can easily get your planes in and out of the trailer effortlessly.

Dang, and I thought there might actually be some pics posted of trailer mods for hauling models. Since I've got a new Haulmark coming the end of the month, I wanted to get some ideas.

Maybe you can get one of the mods to change the title of this thread so those of us who would like some input on model hauling trailers won't waste our time with your "jocularity"...

Thanks for the compliment on my home made trailer, but the fact of the matter is I now have a Haulmark 6*12*6 which I love with the ramp door.

But with the expension of my business with the EVO engines and XOAR Propellers, I will be going to many events and not all close to home, so this would seem to be about the best of two worlds for me, but I need to sell my Mustang and get a pickupt first to towe this

This way sleeping quarters, and garage for airplanes and displays for the engines. and possibly on sight service if need be.

Also a good point. We pay a rather large insurance/tags bill every year for four vehicles. At least all our trailers have lifetime tags. I have only had to use the 16 foot trailer once to haul airplanes though. The popup works great for most days.

Hey, if you guys start buying a lot of engines from me then I'll be able to afford the two vehicles[8D]

Lighten up.
This thread was started by dspadler seeking information on model hauling trailers and he was getting some good input which I'm sure he and others like me appreciated, until you hijacked the thread. Then you have the gall to suggest I should "Lighten up" because I called you on it?

You've been around here long enough to know better...

You can purchase the squares at most any big box hardware store. Buy x amount of white, and x amount of black and install them. I havent seen them sold as a set.

Sorry Zeep, I will be good.

Ok folks...Please, let's keep the thread civil. I think it can be discussed without the little "digs" at each other. As usual in the Giant Scale forums there is always a good amount of info in every thread and this one is no exception.

The black and white checkerboard floor was an option I ordered for what was listed as "floor covering" on the Haulmark, the Pace Trailer place I checked with also had it listed as an option for new trailers. I'm not sure if it's individual squares or some company makes linoleum that way, you might try checking with any local cargo trailer sales place.

The web site for RC Trailers in NC shows they have halted production until further notice due to a medical emergency. Too bad, they look like a nice product for someone needing a low profile trailer.

I'll check with a couple of trailer places for the tile then. Like I said, I've checked Home Depot and Lowes near me, and no joy. Lowes DID have some 18" tiles that were black and white, but it was pretty thin stuff, and I dont think it would hold up very well. Home Depot had the black tiles and white tiles about 8 months ago, because I remember looking at them before I bought my trailer. Guess I might could get them to see if they can be ordered.

I had a spray-in bedliner, like the one you have sprayed in the back of trucks, put in my 6x13 Pace trail that extends 8" up the sides, it lets me convert to a u-haul when the kids need to move again.

I got my floor from Home Depot. Mine is industrial linoleum, about 3/16" thich I'd guess, comes in boxes with 48 or 50 in each. My white tiles have black streaks in them, and the black tiles have white streaks in them, so they are not completely solid white and black.

I was searching today and found this place that sells vinyl checkered flooring, looks kind of spendy though.

Here is my trailer. I have made a few changes since then. Added a 12v marine battery with a 2000 watt power inverter, and some boxes wired dc for electricity.
