well it's hard to say as i only have one flight on mine but i think it might have a bad effect on down lines with no power on,slow flight might be effected also so i would feel better with a plane that is straight as to one trimed out wrong, just my feelings
ORIGINAL: valdlaw
Ron, once trimmed with +1 degree incdence, will the plane exhibit bad tendencies such as coupling or pulling on downlines?

yes mine is at 0 for down and 3 degrees for right hand but yes that might help you out, trim for straight and level at 3/4 throttle and pull to an idle and see if if it goes up or stays level,if it stays level it is not an engine thrust problem

AM 30% Yak 54
ZDZ 60 W/ 22x8 break-in prop
Futaba 8CH PCM
HS5645's for Ailerons and Elevators
HS5955 for the Rudder.
HS645 throttle
Ign. Batt - 4 cell, 2500 mAH NiMH
2 - Cermark 5 cell, 2700mAH NiMH Battery packs.
Smart-Fly BattShare
Approx. Weight close to 19lbs.
Well I finally maidened my first gasser this Saturday.
Take off was very ugly because my rates and expo were not set right, but after a minute I settled down and all it needed was 2 clicks of UP and that was it.
New ZDZ60 started right up, sounded and ran great, very impressed with the engine so far.
Flight report, I LOVED IT !!!
The plane flies like a U-CAN DO on steroids, what a floater !
Only got 1 flight in due to weather and my nerves but I am glad the maiden is over with.
Now I have to wait for who knows how long for this crappy Northern Ohio weather to get better.
Anyhow I know I will be hucking this bird soon.
