Default Hangar 9 Ultimate-cowling/baffles?

I'm installing the cowling and just wondering if anyone is using baffles with the DA150.

I didnt in mine; the intakes are quite well positioned and they're absolutely huge... just make sure you have a lot of air outlet spaces.

I had cans in mine which sat alongside the motor box (see pic); I then had corresponding slots on the side of the cowl next to the cans for cooling; never had any problems.

Well I ran the motor for the first time yesterday. It ran great, but it seemed a little warm. So last night, I put in a little duct work. It would probably been ok while flying, but it couldn't hurt.
Maiden is getting closer. Thanks to all here who have helped answer the newbie questions.

What material did you use for your Ultimate's ductwork and how did you attach it?

Thanks

I used some extra thrust tube material from an old ducted fan F-16. It's polyester glass. Really thin and flexable. I tacked in place and made a fillet on front and back with BVM aeropoxy.

Randy,
You will love the ultimate, trust me! Best bipe in the world, IMOHO. let me know how the temps are when you fly it with the baffles.

Nathan, you may get away with no baffles easier than us here in the states due to our higher temps and humidity. My temps are in the 160-180F range if i remember. that was during winter here at 65F roughly. Not sure what higher 90+F and 50-70% humidity will do for my unbaffled Ultimate. what prop is everyone swinging? i have a Mej 32x10 at i think 6100-6200 i think. i will need to tach it again...
