motor of choice for H9 clipped wing taylorcraft
Im after some help with a motor of choice for my H9 / Minicraft (same type) clipped wing taylorcraft 1/4 scale. My preferance is the MVVS 26 gas and I was wondering if anybody has installed this type of engine in it before and how did it perform? It seem that it's either first choice a MVVS 26 GAS or a Zenoah G26, this is my first gas plane also.
Kind Regards Jason

I have the H9 SuperCub, which is very similar to the Taylorcraft, and I'm flying it with an Evolution 26GT (same as the MVVS). It's a great motor, and a good match for the airframe. On mine, 1/4 throttle provides very scale performance, and anything above that is extra. I would think that on the Taylorcraft, you'd be able to do some pretty decent aerobatics with that engine, not really what a Cub is designed for, but I'd bet it'd do very well on yours.

I have the 1/4 Lanier Taylorcraft with clipped wings. I used the RCS 180 gas engine. Lots of power for a 30cc and very easy on fuel.
