Default Great Planes 1/3 Pitts ARF engine?

A club member has that plane(and a full scale S2-S) and his has a Moki 2.1 on it. He says it flys very well. It wont hang on the prop without falling backwards, but it is very scale like. The only thing he's had throuble with is the firewall and the wing struts. He's done some aerobatics and had both of them break. He got it back both times, but he reworked them both.

I have a 3W50 on mine. It is awesome. I have to add about 6oz of tail weight, but it will hang on the prop all day long at about 5/8 throttle and climbs out very quickly when smacking all the throtle to it. I just bought the GP Extra 300 Patty Wagstaff and have the new DA50 (Desert Aircraft) on order. This engine should be awesome. More pwer than the 3W50 and 3.5 pounds with muffler and ignition.

Jack01 are you sure that Pitts won't hang on the prop with a Moki 2.1? That's between 21 and 25 pounds thrust depending on who's figures you believe and the Pitts shouldn't weigh over 16 lbs with that engine. Should be able to hover at less than full throttle!

I have the pitts with the Moki210 i have tried menz s (20x6)(20x8)(20x10) and engel 20x10 and the pitts can hang for about 10seconds before it drops off. mine is about 18lbs wet.

if u want torgue rolls and power to get out safe dont put in the moki theres not enough power for that.

otherwise it is a great flyer *ss

I believe all he did was repaint the cowling and add some white monokote stars to make it look like the full scale. If you look closely at the landing gear on the model, then you'll notice that he made some fairings to make it look even more like the full scale. He's recovering the full scale one now, and using a different scheme, so I don't know if he'll recover the model, or leave it like it is.
