Default Gas Tank

Where is the best place to mount a tank forward or aft of the wing tube.

Most go in front. You could go in back but the rx and rudder servo is usually in the way. The difference between in front and in back is this: In front CG starts out slightly forward and ends up slightly aft as fuel is used. In back it starts out aft and moves forward as fuel is used. If there were space either way would work. If you think about it landing is easier with a forward CG than aft.

PS: Why did you post this question twice? That's a no no.

I usually place mine on or below the wing tube. Why,,, because that is usually on or close to the CG.

I prefer that too but it's usually very hard to install and access. I actually did it once on a DPM Edge 27%, had to build my own structure to hold it.

I have the gas tank centered right under the wing tube. This way the cg does not change.
