I responded to this topic over on FG and said that the WH 41% Extra was my choice...

I have both the 41% WH Extra and the SD Models 40% Yak 54 in my hangar... I'd be hard pressed to pick one over the other as they both are 3D monsters, hanging in the air and defying gravity in certain manuevers... Cost of construction would be about the same for both airframes, except the SD Yak is truly a 200cc class airplane... So there's some additional expense there on which engine to purchase / use...

I have the SD 37.5% yak and love it, but there are so many great Arfs out there right now cant see how I could recommend one over another. SD models, Aeroworks, Deitrick Models, Quiqa Models, Wild Hare, PAU Edge, Airwild, Comp Arf, Krill Models, Z-Line, I'm sure there are more I missed we have seen them all fly, in person or on vids. Can anyone say you wouldn't be happy with any one of these choices.

I would say, bar NONE, right now that the PAU Edge is THE 3D machine!! The first prototype has been flying at our field since last summer, and it just ROCKS!!! There is video posted in a few places, as well as on PAU's website. This plane has pushed the bar higher as far as quality, hardware, and flying characteristics!

Regards,

Astrohog
