Default vess prop for bme 110

Thinking about trying a Vess prop for my 25 lb 35% extra Looking for good mixed 3D and imac type preformance (favor 3d) I have a bme 110 and Im wondering If anyone has tried them or have a recommendation. I have a 27-10 bme (zoar-nx clone) on it now. Would the 28a or b do a good job

Not trying to talk you out of the Vess because I want to try one someday too but have you tried a real Xoar? Trust me they are not NX. I just put a Xoar on a couple days ago and had to recut the spinner to fit where a NX had fit. My legs tell me there is some more pull there. Xoar are a little thinner midsection than NX.
My understanding is the b is their equivlent to 10". When you get one and try it out post the results. I'll do the same but on a 115 and compare it to the Xoar. PT's work on my 115 very well too. I makes more of a cool howl when it rips. The Xoar barks.

I'd throw a 28B on it. I think you'll love the Vess props. I have a 27A on a DA100 pulling a 30lb Ultimate and it does a fantastic job.

The 110 wont turn a 28" prop very well, its going to bog it down a good bit, at least that has been my experience. The 27x10 seems to be the perfect prop for the 110. If I were forced to choose, I would rather have a 26B than a 28B on the 110 if it were me. Go with the 27B and you wont be disappointed if your engine is running well.

Dang that suprises me - I thought the 110 had more grunt than the DA. If anything I think mine needs more prop. I have a 28A I'm going to try this summer. You have me worried now.

Oh I would not be worried, the weight difference of the BME 110 over the DA110 greatly offsets the fact that it will only turn a 27" prop well. My BME is a beast with a 27x10 anyways. I cannot explain it but I can tell you that I have had my 110 on a 31 pound WM Katana before and it hauled it around with no problem. It would even pull it out of a hover reasonably well.

It might do fine with the 28A, all I ever tried was 28x10. I tried a 3W and Xoar 28x10 and mine did not like either.

Cool - thanks for the info Mike.

With my particular plane the 110 I have likes a Mejzlick 28x10. I have tried the vess prop (can't remember which one) it was ok but I wasn't impressed. You also have to realize that the plane I have this engine in is a comp arf 2.6 that weighs under 23lbs. It doesn't really matter what prop you use. It's got foamie power on all props I have tried Which is just about right for me.

I bet the carbon fiber props would work. Stating the obvious, they are a whole lot lighter than the wood props.

Mike is right in that this engine likes to spin up to he happy. I would shoot for the MID 6's static rpm.
