Servos installed in the wing and fuse for the elevators....Word to the wise..When installing the new control rods, run them into the ball links all the way. they are too long if you don't. (Using Hitec HS7985MG servos)

Landing gear install...It only installs one way because of the way the holes are drilled in the gear...Check out the cuffs on the gear..What a nice touch!!

Glad you got the build thread started Mowery. You catching up with me quick on your build
Aeroworks planes go together quick. With superb quality to boot! Gotta love those adjustable control links and they even sent a wrench with it to! My build has been great, no mods either. Its nice when a company sends good hardware.

Mine is completed as I'm writing this...I'll post more pic's and some tips this week. BTW, You don't have to cut the cowl as much as they show in the manual...I'll post pic's of that as well... Stay tuned!!

Good news Mowery. I surprised you didnt have to cut the cowl as much as I did. But I used a Jtec pitts muffler, which are more "bulky". I just got my graphics on yesterday that I got from Kirbys Graphics. My maiden didnt go as planned, I seemed to come down with some kind of flu and its put me down pretty good. Hopefully this week sometime she'll be in the air.

I've only a couple of things left to do on the plane before the maiden flight... Balancing (very important!) and installing some kind of choke system. Not sure whether I'll install a servo operated choke or just use some kind of manual set up...Stay tuned for more!!

Looks like your ready to go. The cowl looks good the way you cut it out. I didnt think that way was possible and still be able to get the cowl on and off. But you proved me wrong. Got mine balance tonight . Had to put both my 1500 mah Intellect batteries on the battery tray right behind the fuel tank to get it to balance at 4 1/2. Just got done setting the control throws to. The plane seems light enough. I'm thinking upper 15's to 16 lbs. I maybe wrong. I havent weight it yet. What do you think weight wise Mowery?

you guys think a moki 2.10 would be enough for this plane? I have one in a H9 27% cap and it seems to pull it around with authority. I doubt it will hover it though. It's rather piggish at 17lbs, so with the AW being in the 15-16 lb range, maybe the moki would work??? I haven't converted to gas engines.......yet

Doesn't look easy to fit a pipe to this model, is there a pipe tunnel as I can't see one from the pics? Lovely looking Extra though and this one could tampt me to buy another if I can run a pipe. Noise restrictions in the UK mean that slimline mufflers are no go.
