Looking for 50cc katana
I love the kanata design and the way it flies. Does anyone know of a 50cc kanata that is built using modern techniques? I know World Models has one but it looks like a 60 size plane just blown up for a 50cc, I want the plane to be built like the Aeroworks extra, or H9 Carden Yak.

the world models one is pretty good - just a bit heavy because of the foam wings but its a strong plane and you can really throw it around

I have a fully built from a kit 50cc aeroworks katana , that was modified a little to make it a little more like a funtana. It's kind of heavy , but if i we're you , i would take a serious look at the 3DHS katana.....they make some awesome airplanes and that katana they have is a bute!

SD Models/Thunder Tiger makes one. I haven't owned the Katana but have flown several other SD Models aircraft and they are very well built and I'd say right in the middle of the weight spectrum. You can see them at www.acehobby.com and most LHS's can get them. They are under the airplanes/TOC section. I believe it is an 85"/28% airframe.

2nd the 3DHS katana. I've had mine for most of the flying season and love it. It's certainly more plane than I can push to the edge.

P.S. the model in the previous poster's link above for Peakmodel is the old Aeroworks/World Models Katana. Thats not the Peakmodel Katana I'm referring to. The one I mean is still listed on their site and is just like the pic of mine here that I've posted.
