Now my choices are:
Give up the hobby....might be best choice actually
Fly something else and don't worry about replacement
Replace the Yak with another QQ Yak...they are on sale for $499
Replace the Yak with something new and different
Any ideas or suggestions guys?
Thanks
Barry

I have to agree with Charles on this one. The 88" EF Yak in the original scheme would be a sweet replacement..........but a QQ at $499 is a pretty dang good deal.

the good news is now your servos,rx,engine are not being used and can go into the next plane of your choice.
as soon as the wheels leave the ground i wright the entire plane off,and if i get it back in one piece, that's a bonus.

Well......whatever your choice is....DON'T QUIT! Are you insane?? You know you would go crazy within a month or two not getting your flying "fix' in there every once in a while! get any bird that you can slap a 50cc motor on the front and go burn some holes in the sky brotha!!

I almost lost my Double Vision in exactly the same way yesterday, did a down wind wall and I think I was at too low a throttle setting, too low speed, it went up but then stalled & rolled inverted, it never does that, it could have been a gust of wind. I was at 10' so it was pretty scary but I was right on it, luck was with me. I hope all the "dumb thumbs" with glow planes got me to the point where its over, at least it seems better for me with giant scale, money aside. You know the old saying, if you cant afford to crash, dont fly it. After you get over it, then you'll know what to do. For me, its like a moth drawn to the flame, I love to 3-D but I know its pushing your luck & skill. I've got backup 30%'ers and working on 33%, hate to think of losing the 33%, that would probably be a game changing scenario for me. Get a TTOC Yak, around here, they have a better reputation for 3-D than QQ Yaks(TOC-E still available at TBM too).

i have been on the fence about this one also,i just like the looks of this plane with the smaller canopy. kind of looks like a Sukhio, what did you end up as far as weight with this plane.
