Thanks for the pictures, John! Some day you'll have to show me how to use that sweet camera of yours so I can be CB when you are flying your machines!

As for the Edge, I love it! It flies great with no bad habits. It'll be nice when the weather actually gets better here so I can get more flying in on it. Wish I could take credit for the airbrush work, I thought it would be a neat idea to do but Steve Hayes in Arizona was the one with the talent to lay down that scheme on my cowl. The plane definitely has a look all its own now! Looking forward to many enjoyable flights with this Edge; I've had a lot of fun with the 50cc Edge and its bigger brother is a real treat to fly.

Sure is a neat set-up. I really like the Sarge scowl. I'll be looking to get one of those too.

Does it bite?
Nope, it's powered by a Desert Aircraft. My fingers are quite safe when starting it. Got a couple more flights on the plane yesterday, as we're starting to get a few more days of good weather here. The pearl Ultracote colors look just stunning in the sunlight! My only problem is tuning the engine, as I'm having a really hard time bringing myself to cut a hole in the cowl to stick a screwdriver through to hit the engine needles at the proper angle. I may look for an angled screwdriver at the hardware store to avoid cutting a hole while still having easy access to the needles. The airplane is flying great! Really it's just a big teddy bear in flight - the menacing cowl is to make up for the plane's good behavior on the sticks. I've flown all three sizes of the PAU Edges, and also own the 50cc version, and they are all wonderful-flying machines. The big 32" PAU 3D prop does have some bark to it so for IMAC I may go with a Mejzlik two or three blade prop to reduce the noise a little on the uplines. If noise isn't an issue, the PAU prop on the DA-150 pulls this plane like a freight train, and my setup with a full smoke system, three Li-Ion 5200 packs, and the extra weight of the custom painted cowl isn't the lightest setup either. Can't wait to get more time on this bird!

I also see that John didn't post up my favorite pic of the bunch. This shot truly makes this Edge look like a full scale, lining up for a run through the Red Bull race course! Can't wait to bribe John to take some pics of this plane on a sunny day; the covering scheme really pops in the sunlight.

I was wondering about the angle indicators myself.
Did you lose one in flight?

No, I walked right into one on the ground, breaking a couple of the small sticks off. Pretty easy to forget they are there when for 15 years I've walked around planes without them. The glue is what failed, not the sticks themselves, and I need to glue that one back together. I just removed that one angle sight and continued to fly with the right one attached. I figured what the heck, lots of full scale guys only use one sight anyway.

Would a 3w 210 be too much for the 43% edge?
