Default Adding SMOKE to MTW canisters

Hey guys,
I have MTW canisters on my 35% extra 330. I want to add a smoke system. Can I add smoke to MTW canisters? I bought the plane from someone else.
Thanks.

you add smoke to the header, not the canister. Keep the oil outlet at least 3" from the exhaust port, and facing downstream.

My flying buddies and I have played with smoke for years. I don't believe I have ever actually seen a smoke setup on cannisters, at least that I know of. What volume
of smoke can we expect out of cannisters as compared to what we get out of in cowl mufflers which can be very impressive if done right.

I think it would smoke better. The oil spends more time in the header and muffler with the cans than the cowl type.

That's very possible. I don't have anything with cannisters in it at the moment so not able to try it and was hoping someone with real life experience would chime in.

why worry so much?
More power is more heat.
More heat is more smoke.
Do Canisters deliver more power??
Yep! So more smoke!!
