The Gary Ward scheme is great not minimal............it's the bling that sets it apart. Add ten or twenty bucks to the kit and add them, I don't think anybody would blink at the cost. if we have to go else where the cost goes up big time........Anyway great looking plane!

Assembly started with the landing gear, which is very nice, airfoiled carbon fiber. The axles were secured with their locking nuts. Next a wheel collar,wheel and another collar. Play with the spacing before securing with a thread locker to allow clearances for wheel pants. One nice thing about EG aircraft it the wheel collars have phillips head set screws.

The wheel pants and gear are pre drilled, blind nuts installed. Simply attach the wheel pants to the gear legs with the supplied M3 screws. ( remember the thread locker)

The completed LG is screwed to the gear plate, one center screw with a blind nut and four screws with ny-lock nuts. The four outer are through aluminum angle, tying the gear to substantial structure ( the engine box). Easy to reach through the cannister tunnel.

The tailwheel is pretty standard, and is attached with three wood screws into a hard ply plate located in the lower, aft fuselage,,,,,right where it should be. Everything is pre drilled. I did 'harden' the holes with some thin CA.
Don't worry about the wood screws,, they are plenty strong.

Now for the "loud" part, this airplane is getting a new DLE 111, headers and cannisters.
Included is a perfect template for drilling the firewall. I measured and the template is 'spot on'.

Included are some nice, hardply discs that are used for spacing. 2 1/4" bolts seemed about right. Secure with your favorite method,,,,,
