Hey Krayzc! hope things are going good for you man! It's been a while. Quick question : in the very first pic with the red/white extra and orange yak.....did you make those plane hangers or are they from Abell? Thinking i may have to make something like this sometime soon.

Went by Harbor Freight today. The Bicycle Lift is on sale for $7.99 until the 14th (normally $14.99).

yeah that locking makes it kewl as you are letting it up like climbing steps. i removed one of the pullies in my set up i can't recall why i did it that way seems it allowed the bird to go up smoother.

http://image2-6.rcuniverse.com/e1/fo...01/Ro42076.jpg Hello we did the setup like shown in the pic..... But when the plane is going up it noses over.... is this the way it is supposed to be,.... So i will need a helper every time i want to raise and lower the plane? I was hoping it would go up evenly

Here is another that hangs a plane by its wing tube. The plus is that it is very easy to store/retrieve the plane. The vertical stab rotates by plane balance to the ceiling so there is only the single hanger. Made from scraps of 3/4 plywood.

My garage walls look exactly the same but on my walls those little holes are just vents to release the wood vapors that collect inside!

You can get all the parts at almost any hardware store. A stick, couple of pulleys, rope and "rope lock". The one I made in the below photo has a single pulley lag bolted into a ceiling stud. The method I used to tie off the rope is one of those cam-action rope holders. Hooks and unhooks instantly and the harder the rope pulls, the tighter it gets. If you look carefully, I have two planes hanging nose to tail on separate contraptions.

Can't argue with that at all; I went with the single pulley system because I thought it was easier to raise up and I wanted to be able to swing the plane around if need be.
