Mounted the switches..There are pre-cut holes to mount a jr/ems style heavy duty charge switch. [8D]Just cut the covering and install the switch.

Here's some pic's of the plane assembled.. It is a little smaller than the extreme flight 110" yak but the fuselage is just as large.. I will try to get some pics together with my Extreme Flight yak after its done.

The wheels that came with the plane are good wheels but I went for a set of aluminum hub ones from Troy built models. The plane comes with a nice pair of wheel pants but I am leaving them off to show off the wheels [8D]

I'm looking at the 85cc BH. Waiting to see if headers will be
available for these engines, as I need to use canister type
muffler for noise restriction.

BTW, my Pilot Yak kit comes with the same type of wheels
as in the photo. They are nice looking and good quality.

Got home today to find out the engine arrived. I unpacked and took some photos! Engine comes with rc exl ignition which is tops!! Has stand offs, as well as mufflers included. I will have to say this does not look to be a copy of anything. The mounting ears are in an unusual location which forces you to use standoff's.. I can't wait to get it on the plane. Couldn't get to it tonight as the wife had me look at some new flooring.. Hope Ican get this done before more remodeling[:'(]

How's the engine mounting coming or the flooring! Weather is begining to look good for flying.
The engine looks like it's well made in the photos. Are you planning to use the stock mufflers or
after market type?

Actually the engine is mounted. I am a throttle servo away from firing it up!! I am going to try and use the stock mufflers. They are really thin but we want to see how they hold up.. Hope to get some running info and maiden this weekend.. I have been really busy lately. I am fixing to post my photos from the "giants flying" (dirty word on here) website. I just forgot to do it!! Thanks!!

Started mounting the engine This engine has standoffs that you have to use because of where the mounting ears are on the engine. They are threaded on both sides with bolts. That made mounting a little more of a challenge but no big deal. I transfered the holes to a styrofoam plate and made a template with it. With a little help from the wife I marked the holes on the firewall with some measuring..Engine then mounted.

Next was to mount the mufflers. I then took masking tape to mark where the holes for the exaust will go.. Mount the cowl then transfer the tape to the cowl..

Ran the engine the first time this evening!! I can't believe that after a couple of chokes it can to life. Once it warmed it was running really well and smooth!! I dle and transition is great for the first tank of fuel. No needle adjustments out of the box!!

Chad let me fly the plane Sunday. The new engine started really easy. I love the choke set-up. All you have to go to open the choke is advance the throttle to full then back down. It would be nice to have this function all all gas engines. I held the plane during start up and it had lots of power and the needles weren't even twiked yet. Very smooth plane in the air and hovered at half throttle.
All in all I was very pleased with this new plane and engine, by the way the black and yellow color really shows good in the air. Dennis

Here's a pic of the tuned pipes and manifolds for the BraveHeart engines. They should be here soon.
Great job on the thread and build!!

Glad to here the maiden was a sucess. First flight report on the BraveHart engine
sounds positive. I'm about to pull the trigger on the BH 85cc for my Pilot 33%
Yak. Please continue to report the performance of this combo and I'll do
likewise when I get my BraveHart engine. Wishing us good luck!

Will do!! I am down at the moment as my radio took one of my other planes in!![:'(] It will be back hopefully in a couple of weeks.. The 100 ran like a top out of the box. Like said already I am going to turn the low end in 1/8th turn. I was getting some engine stalling in a high alpha knife edge. I was not suprised as I didn't baffle the round cowl and the carb diaphram is getting vacum air pressure. I bought a TBM carbon fiber carb plate. That should fix it right away. My only experience with chinese gasser's is with some flying buddies 50cc's and none have ran out of the box like my braveheart. Even the guys at the field can't believe it[:-]!!!!

Did any one mention this company went Bank rupt part of the reason is the container they were shipped on my 120 had to be shipped via greyhound as I bought it at auction.

I know I'm late to the party I have read mixed reviews on this plane. I picked one up last fall. It's unboxed sitting on my pool table. Id it a good plane? I have read about balance issues. Not sure if I should go forward with the build after reading some of the negatives.
It's my first gasser..

Thoughts?

Thanks In Advance,
Pete
