this will be my 2nd Da engine as i have #18 on that 85 and i am pleased with the company. The 60 is a type of motor that may require having more than one with all of the larger 50cc birds coming/or here.

It's that Canadian Customs thing, I've had several things I sold and shipped to Canada and it seems like Customs holds onto stuff for like a week, but it'll get there. On the other hand, mine will be here tomorrow....

They're here.....

Kind of surprised the prop drill guide didn't come with a guide pin and drill bit like the one I bought for my 120 did, but serial number 0005 is HERE!

Some pics and weights here for 'ya. The muffler is the Jtec compact inverted Pitts type. It also comes with some laser cut plywood pieces for moving the engine away from the firewall and a warning not to use standoffs as previously speculated.

that is so kewl i do not have to make those pieces of wood for the spacers. i think you should treat her to being in the house tonight, don't make the new addition stay out in the garage on the 1st day being in a new location

how much space does all of that wood add up to ?

What is the total thickness of the included spacers? I will need 1 inch for my plane.

On the other forum one of the guys had a 58 and he ran the 60 with the same prop and tuned pipe and got a bit more rpm with the 60. I really seems to respond to a pipe. He was getting over 7000 static with a 24x10. Mine with a DA muffler gets about 6900 with a Mejzlik 23x10. I also tried a Xoar 22x10 and got just shy of 7200. My readings were with only about 8 ounces of fuel through the engine.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hgcGJAcXQw

24 x 8 Menz on both Motors
BME 58 and DA 60

C/F tune pipe and header on both motors
The BME does have a 1 inch longer header than the DA header
The BME had at least 2 gallons on it, the DA is started on this Vid for the 1st time. So the Da should pick up about 200 more RPM.
