ZN Spinner Screws

Hey Gang,
What size are the screws that secure the 5" carbon fiber ZN spinner? The ones that came with it are the cheap zink plated ones and my ball driver stripped it out pretty quickly. I suppose I should have used a straight allen, but I want to replace them.

Are they 4-40 or 6-32? anyone know? I think they are inch size, not metric.

The screws that come with the spinner are 4-40, but I have been tapping out the hole and using 6-32 button head screws like the 4-40 for the reason you are speaking of.

RE: ZN Spinner Screws

I recently had to destroy my Carbon Fiber Pete's Model 3" Spinner just because the ONE screw stripped out and then after dremeling it for a actually screwdriver it still didn't come out! I had to hack it off sadly enough so I went tru-turn and I think that really the Carbon Fiber spinners are sweet, but not really worth it for that... especially when the tru turns are factory balanced, cut, and exact precision with great strength.

RE: ZN Spinner Screws

I don't know how that one got so tight, actually - I think it was just a matter of the ball end on the allen sripping out the middle, then the rest didn't take long. I put a slot in it and it came out fine with a screwdriver, but I also put it back in that way. I gotta get some new screws.
Thanks
RickP
