Question on elevator servos?

Tom,
Just put my DA 50 (with 2 1/2" standoffs)on my Edge, and the 3/4" blocks of wood had to be cut down 1/8"to get my spinner backplate clearance down to a tolerable 1/8" in front of my cowl. I dont think that will be a significant difference,do you?
Anyway the question I have for you is I am planning to put a 24oz smoke system on this plane next to my fuel tank, do you know if it would be advisable to put the elevator servos in the fuse mid-section or not? Im not sure about the long pushrods strength or if this is just not at all recommended.
Also this is an excellent ARF I could not have even imagined how sturdy an ARF could be built and clean too.
I need to know what kind of paint is on the cowl, lacquer or urethane? (Mine is all white)
And finally, how far behind the front edge of the fuse is the landing gear supposed to be?
thank you again CK

NO problem there. FYI, DA now sells 3" standoffs for the 50 which are much easier to deal with, all you need is like a 1/8" shim.

The only time this is a good idea is where a glow engine is being used and you have serious balance problems. The DA will be very close to perfect with the ele servos inthe tail. Remember always balance the plane dry. [/quote]

Thank you, tell a friend.

The paint is a two part automotive type paint, I do not know exactly what it is. The LG should be about 1/2" behind the cowl edge. It's not critical you can move it a little to clear the bolts inside if needed. This is now covered in the revised manual which is available on our web site at http://www.wildharerc.com/Downloads/28%25-T-Manual.pdf.
