Engine Sizes
Does anyone know how to convert engine displacements from cc to ci (thats cubic centimeters to cubic inches. In other words...how many c.i. is a 24cc motor and what is the formula for figuring it out???
Bob83617 Thanks to all who replied....That helps alot |
RE: Engine Sizes
1cc x 0.06102 = cubic inches
Here's a good link to bookmark: http://www.onlineconversion.com/ To answer your question, 24 cc = 1.4424 cubic inches 50cc = 3.0510ci 100 cc = 6.1020ci 150cc = 9.1530ci Bill |
RE: Engine Sizes
The way I remember it for myself is fairly easy.
10cc = .61 ci. so... a .91 would be 15cc, And....a 1.20 would be 20cc, ............a 1.80 (like in Moki, Saito, etc) would be whoppin 30cc. And......that means that a 50cc engine comes out to 3.00 ci. Give/Take on these, as always, actual displacement is usually on the side of the cylinder of bigger engines in cc's, the formula given in above post would probably get you alot closer to what it is, but this is simple way here. ;) |
RE: Engine Sizes
You can get close just by multiplying the CC"s by 6 and place the decimal point in the right spot.
