I'm on your list! Sure like the way the plane looks.

By the way, what are the diameters of your anodized wing and stab tube? I have some spare CF tubes and was wondering if I can use them.

Please post the video link when you get it up.

Thanks,

Doug

Ouch !!!
Nice model..the plane's pretty good too :)

Anyways, hopefully the quality & built will be better than the previous AW offerings.

And yes, I owned both the 60/90 & 33% edge.

RE: Aero-Works 50cc Yak

Yes the quality is alot better. We have switched manufacterers and this new one is just awesome. We tried to make this the most preassembled arf on the market today. The entire goal was that the coustomer did not have to cut or glue anything we even glued in the robart hinges on every thing but the rudder which we would have done but the box would have been to large.

I can check on the tube deminsions and will get back to you asap.

Mark, do you know the demensions of the cowl? reason I ask is because if sombody wants to use the stock DA exhaust it needs to be wide enough so you don't have to cut a hole in the side of the cowl so the muffler will clear. The stock exhaust (if noise is not an issue) can save 4 to 5 ounces over a pitts style, and increases RPM's by nearly 300 over the Slimline pitts. The Ef Yak is wide enough, the QQ yak is not. I don't know about the rest of them out there.

RE: Aero-Works 50cc Yak

Ok the tube demensions are 30 3/4" long by 32 milimeter outside diameter.

John I will check and get you the demensions none of us had a stock da muffler but we did use a slimeline if that helps.

Would sure like to see some harrier's, elevators, parachutes and hard walls on video. Does the plane rock at all? Does it break either way when walled hard?

I'd like to see some walls, harriers, parachutes, inverted and upright spins (more than just a couple turns) too

Are there any plans to release a 50cc Yak kit? I think that there would be a good market for it since it would be the only one available and the 50cc Yak is the most popular plane on the market.

Woops:)

Mark, Do you happen to know the finshed lenght of the plane including spinner?
Thanks,
Carroll

RE: Aero-Works 50cc Yak

The finished length is 78". Also the cowl is 10" wide.

I'm guessing that using the stock exhaust will not be an option on your plane unless somebody whats to cut a big hole in the side of the cowl. The EF cowl is 10.5 inches and just barely clears by a 16th"

shucks!

Well it looks like a great plane. If I hadn't already ordered an Aerotech Yak, I would have gotten this one. But if my Christmas bonus is big enough, I may just have to have this one as well.:D

Hello Mark
I am glad to see Aeroworks is working to improve the quality of their ARF. This YAk looks very nice.

1) Does 50CC YAK pipe tunnel have enough room to accept a canister with the following dimensions please:

lenght: 12.5''
diameter: 2.75''

2) Have you had a chance to try an harrier with the Yak? How does the wing rock
Daniel

Mark Dennis 12-05-2005 06:43 PM

RE: Aero-Works 50cc Yak

The tunnel demensions are 31"x2 5/8-3 1/4 the spot where it is the smallest in width is near the back so your can will work. I have done both upright and inverted harriers with it and there is almost no wing rock esspaically when inverted. That was one thing that really impressed me was how well it locked in to manuvers.
