8711 & regulator
Does the 8711 really need a regulator using a 6 volt NiMH? I've been running the 5955's without a regulator and NEVER had any problems!

RE: 8711 & regulator
Hey Rob,
How you been doin'? I asked that question for my current project. Here was my question. Greetings, I am wanting to use the JR-8711 in my 33% yak on the rudder. I will be using the FAUP 1950's 6 volt batteries without regulator for power. Is there any problem using this servo on a 6v - 5 cell battery or should I go with 4.8v? and here is what I got. ""Richard, Thank you for your recent email. No problem with 6 volts. I hope you find this information useful. If you should have any further questions, please reply to this email or give us a call at 1-877-504-0233. Thanks, Matt McCarty Product Support Team Member Horizon Hobby Distributors"" |
RE: 8711 & regulator
Lots of guys are now running un-regulated Li-po set ups with 8711's now.

Thanks for the info Wayne.
Cool beans Rob, I am setting up a 35% and will first try 5955 on rudder but may need the 8711. I already had the 5955 and am on a budget. Give me a call sometime. RDB |
