Are you using Stewarts System Ecobond as well? Your fill coat looks more uniform than what mine came out like. I thinned mine 3 to 1 as described in the procedure manual.

.............Very nice.....we are using the Stewart System on a Vought O3U-3 that we are scratch building.......I worked for the old Chance Vought Co. for 31 years and joined the retirement club when I retired.......we meet every Tue and Thur to restore or scratch build Vought Aircraft.......when finished they are sent to various museums around the country.........we have already scratch built a VE-7 Blu Bird, the very first plane to fly off an aircraft carrier......we are on our second ..........so, we are in the process of doing the covering . The covering material is also Iron on and and we are using this product.......personally, I think the the doped on method is easier and not so messy......

I can't use dope inside my house in the weather months so Steward System allows me to work in my basement during the winter. I used Stits products before and they worked very nice. Used nitrate dope once before and from what I remember it was much like the Stits product.
The lathe is a Harbor Freight 9 x 20, not the best but does what I need, the mill is a discontinued Grizzly model, again not he best but gets the job done.
The work on the Cessna is beautiful.

.........The seat is doweled together with small strait pins and CA..........the brass rods on the back and side are inserted into holes drilled int the tubing and also ca'ed.........makes for strong joints.
