I have a 1/3 scale Fokker DVII with a DA 85 and use either the 26x10 Zoar or 27xA Vess prop this is a 42lb. plane and the motor with these props pulls it very well. Hope this helps some what.

Brent,

Remember, he is flying a biplane and not a mono-wing and probably flies very scale like

A DA85 on a 42lb aerobatic plane will not be a good match, on a 26lb to 28lb 35% aerobatic plane will be fine, better if you do a pipe

I'd have to say if a DA85 will pull 42 lbs around thats performance but I knew what you were looking for.

Thanks guys,
I fly the 33% Pilot RC Yak right now. I crashed it, but repaired it. I will be looking to replace the plane probably this spring. The 33% is not a readly available plane and was thinking of upgradeing to the 35%

I am flying a OMP/EG Yak 55 at 24lbs. with 102" wingspan. Da85 of a Jtec wraparound and a Xoar 26x10 prop. Great performance with this setup. I just got it finished in time to get it out once before winter hit. I still need to baffle the cowl.
