Default Dave Johnson Plans

Hello,

Does anyone know of how I can get ahold of Dave Johnsons plans for his 1/3 scale WWI airplanes, specifically the Albatros. Or know of anyone that is willing to sell their a/c. I have been looking in the sale items and there are very few for sale.

Thank you

Chip

I think you can still get the plans for the Dave Johnson planes that are available from Model Airplane News plans service. I have the plans for Dave's Albatros DIII that I ordered from air age, and they are nice plans. Here's a link:

Thank you for the note. I have never built from his plans. I just finished the Don Smith Convair 440 and I am hoping this next build will be easier. Have you built yours yet and are the plans drawn very well.

Thank you

I haven't built mine yet, but I would love to. The plans are very nice, and if you go by Dave's success, it builds into a nice aircraft. Looks like it flys well as well, as I've seen Dave's bird at the AMA Nationals as well as Scale Masters Nationals.

Balsa USA is planning on having a kit of Daves 1/3 Albi D-III out sometime this year. I would look at Toledo.

Are BalsaUSA doing the DIII or the DVa? I had heard it was the DVa.

Yes: go the site of Model Airplanes Magazine . Once your in the store click onto plans you will fined them there. I believe I saw DJ's Albatros on sale. And if you need a kit cut go to Laser Works.com Good service and great people to do business with just ask for Ed. Signing off Mike.

I'm trying to find Dave Johnson's plans for the 1/4 scale Fokker DVI . Can anyone help me or steer me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Ray.

Fokker,

Did you mean "Model Airplane News", because I didn't see anything there to access Plans?

Thanks,
Ray.

There is a new kickstarter campaign to obtain a laser cutter, plotter, and finish a vacuum forming machine to provide airplane short kits, full kits, and R/C and standard rocket kits. You can see it at http://kck.st/1miw20j
There is a wide variety of airplanes available, and more cool products coming from Scale Aerospace in the near future.
