Yes, my brother and I built a 31" (slightly larger than 1/5 scale) for our Meister P-47.

We made the hub parts and the cuffs out of poplar and pine, and the blades we cut from two 26" Xoar props. They are fairly close but still need re-shaped at the root.

Although the Curtis prop hub is less complicated, we still had about 40 parts in the prop. It is held together with carbon fiber rod, Gorilla glue and some CA.

Unfortunately, I didn't document the construction as I usually do, but here are some pictures.

The nomenclature is from a set available through Meister. It comes with both Curtis and Hamilton dry transfers.

There is a great build article at "www.tompierce.net". The article is for a three blade prop/hub for his Dauntless but you could adapt it to a four blade. I'm puttering away on a three blade for my Corsair. In the article he uses pine for the blades but I found balsa is easier to work with.

You asked about the Curtis electric. The Dauntless used the Hamilton Standard. They look completely different.

Yes I know
But also i did find that Hanger 9 makes a static Curtis electric 4 blade for there giant p47 .
But as for building my own Curtis Electric 4 blade I will just have to make sure it is correct to scale in the detail .
