Default 1st 40% questionServo Leads?

Have started on my first 40%er. I have a couple of 1/3 scale under my belt so it not all totally new. My question concerns the length of servo extensions. With 1/3 scale birds standard 36" extensions would suffice but with the 40% it will require some up to 60+ inches for the elevator and rudder servos. I know to use the heaviest wire ie. 20 or 22 gauge but is there rule of thumb for "do not exceed" on servo leads? I plan to use a Smart Fly servo/power center so that should buy me some filtering and signal amplification correct?

You will have to use extensions, either buy or make your own extensions.
If you decide to make your own Radical R/C has the best crimpers and parts
or they will custom make your length as needed.
