Default Giant Super Aeromaster

I have a Giant Aeromaster that I bought used, recovered and mounted a Saito 220 in it. Now that I am at the point of balancing it I find that there is a discrepency in the instruction book. It refers to a CG point 2 5/8" back from the leading edge of the top wing at the wing tips and then in another part of the instructions is says the CG is 2 5/8" back but atthe fuse. Since the top wing is swept, there is a big differance in the distance of the two CG points when looking down over the aircraft. If anyone out there has a Giant Aeromaster, please tell me where you have the CG.

Thanks

Dennis

Dennis-
For the Great Planes KIT (not ARF), there is also a discrepancy. The plans show it as 3 1/4" back from the LE of the lower wing at the fuse but the instruction book says 2 7/8" at the same spot. I used 3" and it's fine.

Welcome to the RCU forums, Dennis!

There is an addendum for the ARF's instructions that corrects the CG location:

http://manuals.hobbico.com/gpm/gpma1225-addendum.pdf

"Use a felt-tip pen or 1/8" [3mm]-wide tape to accurately mark the
C.G. on the top of the bottom wing on both sides of the fuselage. The
C.G. is located 2-1/2" [64mm] back from the leading edge of the
bottom wing at the fuselage."

<span style="font-family: Arial"><span style="font-size: medium">Thanks a lot for the help. Since the Aero Master is discontinued I never thought the manual would still be available on-line. Until now I was not sure if my planeis a kit or an ARF/ARC. Lookng at the manuals for both I find that mine is the ARF/ARC. So that is the CG referance I will follow.

Again, Thanks for all the help.
