Default Hanger 9 Taylorcraft and DLE 30

Has anyone built the Hanger 9 Taylorcraft and using a DLE 30. Any problems mounting the engine and how does it fit in the cowl, thinking of using the J-Tech pitts style muffler also. If you have one how does it fly with the DLE 30 and how was the kit quality.

Thanks in advance

Ron

Mine is electric (Eflite Power 110) and has enough power to hover. Not sure about fitting the DLE 30, but I did try a Saito 26cc and it fits.

What size batteries are you using, how long a flight do you get.

I have the setup you describe. Mine uses the side-draft version. No running problems, used the stock muffler and a 20x6 prop. A very nice combo.

Flew my Hangar 9 Taylorcraft today and it flew very scale like with the twin OS 160 - you need to work the aerobatics but thats the way I like it - scale as I can get it

It will fly on three clicks very slow - I think its a winner and will keep it around

Ok,i think two stroke gas engines sound all wrong in a beautiful otherwise scale aircraft so i fitted a saito 182 twin to mine.Is that close enough?
