Default Window material

Yes I picked it up at sig manufacting. They have a 1/4 scale cub kit and you can order the window kit from them. Go to their wed site and look up 1/4 cub and look for additional parts.

Got the elevators done. Still don't know if I will use one servo or two, so I have not joined them yet. I also modified them for more rudder authority. You can also see the amount of stretch in the plans on the next to last photo. I made another E3 and sandwiched a piece of balsa in between them making a solid 3/8" horn mount.

I finally got my JTEC pitts muffler for the EME-35 I am installing. Here are a few pics of the engine and thought I would add a pics of how I installed the elevator and rudder servo's. I hope they help some.

Steve here is the link for the 1/4 scale window kit from sig. https://sigmfg.com/products/sig-1-4-...nt=46139133257

Steve your build is looking real nice. You are doing wonder work on the horizontal stabilizer.

Your not doing to shabby yourself. Looks like that muffler is a nice fit! And thanks for the link. I'll get one on order. Did you go with dual elevator servos?

Yes I did use dual servos for the elevator and ailerons. My plans are very old and it called for one servo for ailerons using a bell rank system. I did not like that and used dual servos on both.

I think I'll follow your lead and use dual elevator servos. I'm also going to use dual aileron servos and probably install flaps. I'm modifying the wing to use a 3/4" wing tube as well.

Sounds like you are doing the right thing on your build. The Cub is a very gentle flyer and for that reason I opted not to install flaps. I have flown the 1/5 scale sig cub and it did not have flaps and was a very easy plan to land. It is very stable at slow landing speeds. I would really like to see how you setup your flaps.

I'll post lots of pics!! The instructions say that the ailerons can become ineffective under certain conditions, so I'm thinking of using a mix for flaps or full length aileron action. Maybe even a crow function. Still working those things out. I think I read where some one just used full length ailerons as well.

Never seen anyone ever do a full wing aileron on a cub. I would make it role alot better. I am interested in how yours turns out. What are you planning on using as a power plant?

Don't know what happened, but my last post disappeared. Any how, I've got a DLE 30 on the shelf I'm planning on using for this build. Should be a good match!!

Looking good on the fine Steve. I had an idea I wanted to try on the wing struts. I did not like the why the mid wing support was being add to the wing strut and I came up with this idea of trying hinges for a jewelry box. I order some off of Amazon and they came in early today so I was able to give them a try. It looks like they are going to work out well with a little more work. Here are a few pics of my progress with then today. I still have to come up with away to attach them to the wing
