Default Zenoah G 62 Need some help.

I have a G 62 that when I was breaking it in tacked at about 7000. Now the best I can get is 6300. Same prop each time Zinger 22x10. The plane flies great even at the 6300 on the ground check. So here is the questions, What is your G 62 turning on the ground with the same prop? What do you think the reduction in rpm could be caused by? Any suggestions. I know if I go to an apc prop the rpm will increase

Thanks

Jay

There are a lot of factors that could contribute to the symptoms you describe. Plug condition, debris in the carb screen, other fuel issues. The best course of action is to make changes/service the engine one issue at a time and check the results.

My G-62 went from a powerhouse to no-start in a period of several months. Turns out it needed a carb rebuild. The kit cost about $7 from Horizon and took about 10 minutes after studying a few videos on Youtube. You might try that first.

Best regards.

Lifer: Thanks I will try the plug first then rebuild the carb. Had several friends suggest the same.

Thanks again will let you know.
