Radio Link R6DS and R9DS on Gas Engine Models

Hello guys...

I'm about to finish a scratchbuilt 2 meters wingspan Ultra Stick.

I'll be using a converted Weedeater 26cc engine.

I have flown combustion (glow and gas) in the past, but for the last 10 years i've bee flying electrics mostly, and since i got my Radio Link AT9 i have had no signal problem, either with R6DS or R9DS rx.

My question is, has anyone here ever used radio link R6DS with GAS models? Is there any reason i should worry? Is there any point i must pay extra attention to?

I don't have that radio system, but fly 5 other protocols, and doubt you will have any trouble. All the systems seem to work. But, here is what I do, and also what I tell all my students. Do a thorough range check with the engine running. Do it at distant, from all sides, and at all throttle settings. If it passes this test , it will be OK. Keep the receiver as far away from the engine as possible.
