Hostetler 109 inch Aeronca Champ
I`ve finished this plane and now I`m ready to put radio and servos in, my question is, all I have is s3004 standard servos, I`m using a 20cc gas engine, will these servos be sufficient for this plane for slow and easy flying, no stunts, just slow and easy. Bob

Back in the day when I began flying giants I used S148 servos, on any landing other than perfect, the gears would strip in the aileron servos. I carried spare gear sets in the field box/ You really do need metal gears for bigger planes.

The standard servo is too weak for this size airplane. The size of the control surface is the determining factor. You can put one servo on each surface with a Y connector. Check out the heavy duty servos from Value Hobbies RC Planes, Quadcopters, Cars and 3D Printer | Value Hobby Servos - Radios & Servos | Value Hobby I have used them without any failures. The price is great. analog or digital.
