Hi, Is this the same 'Champ' from R/C Modeler? The guy who designed and built it was from Australia. Let me know!

Here you go!
This FAA approved process utilizing Poly-Fiber Dacron fabrics and the unique "Poly" line of finishes assures a beautiful, durable, weather-resistant cover job every time. Documented time tested results by the professionals. The Poly-Fiber Covering Process was issued Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA-1008-WE in 1965 and this number will apply to all aircraft.
Note: Formerly known as Stits covering process. Only Poly-Fiber materials may be used through the topcoat paint to comply with STC requirements. Poly-Fiber finishes are required for approval. Poly-Fiber is approved for use on most certified aircraft. To be sure, check the approved model list in the procedure manual.
This is what you want to use on a model, I have used it for years and it works great! I still have some of this from when they sold it and it was certified for aircraft use.
UNCERTIFIED LIGHT
60" Width P/N 09-02001 $7.65 /Lineal Yd.
1.7 oz., lightweight fabric recommended for covering ultralight aircraft. This fabric will be unstamped. It is not approved for certified aircraft.

Keep checking eBay looking for NOSEN or AA INDUSTRIES.
I bid on 2 in the last 2 months. The first one sold for $206. I had bid $205 and lost it.
I won the second one for $221.
If you really want to win, bid low and then put in a considerably higher maximum amount that you would be actually willing to pay if it came down to it. My max bid was $310 when I got it for $221. Cowl sells separately but there are plenty of them to be had for about $20 to $25.
Best of luck. Ron

there is no selling in the forums. I would suggest posting the ad in the marketplace for better results.
I love Champs, my 1st ever ride in a civil airplane was in a champ. Was something ill never forget. I would love to see a big 100" ARF of one

RE: 1/3 scale aeronca champ going up
I am posting today 1-13-08 on EBay a Bud Nosen, 1/4 Scale Aeronca Champ kit. While vintage, I believe this kit is 100% complete as supplied back then and it is in its original box. Not trying to use forum as sales but instead as a means to get this kit into the correct hands. Perhaps take a look. Thanks, Gottofly1
