Default Giant Sweet and Low stick

Hi-

Does anyone know if the Giant sweet and low stick is still being sold and by whom? I built one back in the 70's and it was a great flyer with a ST 2000. Is there an ARF of this made? I can't find it advertised in any of the current mags.

I had one years ago as well. Had an OPS Maxi 30 Glow on it. Great fun and easy to fly. The wing was like hauling around a surf board. I actually might still have the plans but would have to look. Midwest also made the .40 size version and I know I have the plans for that. let us know if you can't find them. Super easy to build...like a low wing Ugly Stick. Good luck

Mark, "m_h_r" on ebay is selling the plans for this plane now. His re-mastered set looks better than the ones that came with the Midwest kits that I built back in the 90's. He also did a really good job on the parts templates which you don't get with the kit plans.

I you really want a Sweet n Low stick PM me. I bought the plans and had a kit cutter do one up for me. It turns out I have a balsa allergy and building it will be a bugger. I have to stay with ARFs now.

LOL, I'm bad about that.

Any way I think I'm going to use this thread to do a build thread on. No since in starting a new one. Plus info is not just for the orginal guy that asked the question. Google turns up info if someone new if looking for it.

I co-built this one for a guy in my club back in the 90's I built the wing and tail and he did the fuse.

Powered by a OS 5-cylinder radial

The color on that photo is faded but the wings and tail are tan with white bars.

Mine looked like this one. Lost it to receiver battery failure.

It was powered by a Zenoah G-45.

New one will be electric with redundant receivers and flight packs.

Yeah I learned today that it's called "necro-posting" bringing back the dead threads. LOL

Any way I'm really happy with the plans I got from Mark. I wanted another GSNLS but didn't want to pay $350 for a old kit when I'd only use 1/2 the stuff in the kit anyway, ya know.

I built one from a kit a couple of years ago, still flying it! Great big fun airplane! Mine has an old Quadra 35 on it, and had something happen to the engine at the end of last season. I'll be flying her again as soon as I can get the engine fixed or replaced!

I just got this one finished up. I bought the airframe from a fellow club member and added a First Place Engines 4.2 for power.
