Hangar9 Taylorcraft Cowl's?
friends
I just picked up a used H9 Taylorcraft this weekend and need a new cowl for it. I emailed StansFibertech and they told me they didn't make one so I am not sure if I will be able to find one.
Anyone know a source where I can find a cowl for this airplane?
thanks

Diablo,
It's $48.00 at http://www.fiberglassspecialtiesinc.com/catalog.htm
Too bad Hanger 9 discontinued the Taylorcraft about 4/5 years ago.[]
Mine is still alive after about 6/7 years. What a nice flier !

To All,
Fiberglass Specialities http://www.fiberglassspecialtiesinc.com/catalog.htm carries a cowl (with airscoop) for $48.00. They also carry a windshield for $22.00.

RE: Hangar9 Taylorcraft Cowl's?
Jason,
Got it from Vailly Aviation http://www.vaillyaviation.com/Intro.html
Ordered another one for my 95 inch Hanger 9 Cessna 182 Skylane.
I used the 1/5 Scale Full Figure Civilian pilot for the Taylorcraft and a 1/4 scale for my Cessna.
If you get one, be sure to follow the Vailly directions and DO NOT use anything but acrylic paints. The Taylorcraft pilot was my first attempt at "pilot painting". I used Testors paints. What a mess. It took about 2 weeks for the paint to dry !! All of the "flat" colors took on a shine.
On the Cessna, I was able to retain the pilots feet, but had to cut them off for the Taylorcraft.
The paint on the Cessna pilot came out excellant as I used flat acrylics.
