Most people seem to be adding nose weight to get to the addendum measurement given in the manual. There have been some discussions concerning the V tail incidence being incorrect in the kit which make the plane perform as if tail heavy. I am building the straight tail.

I didn't get the addendum. What is the "new" CG and has anyone decided on what the incidence should be on the V tail?

I'll check my CG and get back to you. I'm pretty sure I used the plans cg (no mention of different cg on the addendum list I have) and flies nice.

Did not look in the manual, but after three flights this morning in one of my Bo's I measured the CG. It comes in at exactly 6 1/4" from where the wing fairing meets the fuse. Which would be ~5 5/8" from the bulkhead on the front of the wing where the two dowel rods are located. I like the in-flight performance with this CG. The Bo' I flew today weighs 15.0 lbs. My other weighs almost 16 lbs. Both powered with OS 1.20 Four-Strokes. Whether a low high speed or low slow speed pass, you cannot beat the realistic sound and profile. Full flaps with gear up is awesome down on the deck. A buddy took some video this morning of my third flight. Don't know how to post a video here, but with some advice from those that have I'll be glad to share. What a great stress reliever to fly such a great scale model that Top Flite used to offer. Bring it back so others can join in the fun!!!!

The building notes that came with my kit states:

"The recommended initial balance point is 6-3/8" aft of the leading edge of the wing center section. Some modelers have reported that with larger more powerful engines, such as a .90 2-stroke or 1.20 4-stroke engine, that the model was overly sensitive in pitch. You should initially balance your model at 6" (5-3/4" with retractable landing gear) - even if you are using a smaller engine. Then, adjust the balance aft to obtain the handling characteristics you desire. Also - DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED CONTROL THROWS UNTIL YOU HAVE ADJUSTED THE BALANCE. "

I hope this helps you.
