9462 is good, E-20HP is also good. It sets a bit quicker and maybe soaks into the wood a bit better, but either one is so strong it doesn't really matter. They have a 5 minute cure that is handy for gluing stuff in that is hard to clamp.
The West Systems Six-Ten is supposed to be just as good and it comes in a standard caulking tube size.

I would use the 9462(Aeropoxy). Tack the formers in with thick CA, then run a nice bead of hysol around the joint. If you want to use the mixing nozzles, get as much as you can ready to hysol at one time. Less waste that way. If you dispense into a cup and mix by hand, you can do formers at your convienence.

I would, kind of like wearing a belt and suspenders. The cloth will add almost no weight and also give you the warm fuzzy feeling that your formers are there for life.
Use a good laminating epoxy, ie West Systems. You can also use the West to glass the wings and tail surfaces in preparation for paint.

Pete,
JeffH has it right.
Hysol is a high strength epoxy that sticks to just about anything. I also just tack in the formers with CA and then go back and lay a finger bead of Hysol to the joint.
Adding the glass strips is up to you …I've never had a hysol joint fail, though I have seen epoxy pull away from a polyester surface.
Call me if you need some help

Man how time flies, it doesn't seem that it has been 8 1/2 years since I bought this.
Byron RV-4. They say time flies as you get older and they ain't kidding either!!!!!
A question for all of you experts, finally getting back to the RV-4, intend to finally
finisher her this go around. I weighed the airframe with out the landing gear and
no radio, or engine and at 10 1/2 lbs., do you think that at an estimated 17-18 lbs.
that a DLE-40 twin will be enough power to haul this baby around the sky?
Any and all discussions greatly appreciated..............

Back at it again, 10 1/2 years since I bought this airplane, always seems something comes along to take me away from it.
Any of you out there that have or had this plane tell me how yours came out and what you powered it by. Would love to see
any pictures of it that you may have. Thinking DLE 40 Twin if it will fit without having to butcher the cowl up!!!! although it looks
like the RCGF 40 Twin with the angled plugs looks to be a better fit.

I haven't touched the RV-4 in a couple months now as life has a tendency to get in the way of this hobby.
I don't think that at the stage my build is currently I will be able to lift any templates for the stabilizer or the
wing, as when I purchased this kit it was pretty much assembled, and just needed fitting out to complete.
I have made a lot of modifications to the assembly as far as the engine installation is done and also how
the servos for the control surfaces are installed. Planning on doing some sort of a simulated cockpit.
BTW I don't know if you visit Face Book or not but they have a group that deals with Byron kits on there.
you might find someone that has a kit that hasn't been started. here is a link to the Byron page:
