Yeah, 10.8' wingspan is nice and big. Seems like a pretty gentle flying plane though.

Ok,the Pawnee is a great flying airplane, take off it tracked strait down the runway and lifted off with ease not one click of trim strait and level. Does basic aerobatics with ease landings are smooth and easy.Hope to get more flights in on Sunday. As for power I used a BME 116 it fits inside the cowl without any cutting and has tons of power.

thanks for the info. I was not sure about what engine to use. Sounds like the G82 is way more power then you need for this plane, but that is what they recommend. I think I am going to have to get one of these puppies as well. I am a crop duster guy any ways. :D:D

That is a great engine, I will probably go with the GT80, I have used several of the G62 engines on my war birds and never had an engine failer. Both are very good motors.

If I were just bombing around it would get the GT80 no problem, I've run a couple of them before.

I'll be runnng Spektrum digital servos, a 9 channel DSMX receiver with my JR 11x, a Falcon carbon prop, WrongWayRC A123 batteries for receiver and ignition and a RedAeroRC custom pilot.

Hi guys my buddy and I have been flying and Aerotoing with his Pawnee using a DLA 112 and towing a 6 meter KA8b DA 100 would be ok but DA 120 is better and it fits in the cowl, oh and if your ears get sore you can fit canisters!

I got my pawnee just about done.I'm building a set of mufflers for it,they are 6 inches long 2inch dia. They angle downward to go under the motor box.I also made a half inch spacer to fit between muffler a cyl head inorder to lower the muffler alittle so its not such a sharp angle. The mufflers outlet pipes will exits from rear of mufflers. The mufflers are going to mount to a DA 100. I'm a welder by trade i weld stainless and i do aluminun everything i do is done by tig welding. If anybody needs help or ideas contact me at [email protected].I'll post pictures when i get them done.

Here is how many are handling the fittment of cans.

As we are from Down Under working on the underside is easy :-)[img][/img]

modify the front bottom half of teh Pawnee, by removing the underside covering and adding a floor and sides. Basically boxing the structure for added strength and so teh pipes fit into the underside of the Pawnee. It is simple and effective and done right adds strength to the undercarriage as well with little weight gain.

Cheers

I just picked up my Pawnee yesterday, I have a DA-100 planned for her. Would like to get some smoke off the wings to simulate dusting.... I've read some have had success with baby powder and air, just wondering what others have tried.
