RE: Setting Up Smartfly Optical Killswitch
I got a Hitec Aurora 9 tx/rx and apart from using the Smartfly engine cutoff switch, can I use the throttle cut in the tx software to cut the engine?

RE: Setting Up Smartfly Optical Killswitch
My main goal is to cutoff the engine from the transmitter stick thru a auxilary channel.

RE: Setting Up Smartfly Optical Killswitch
The Smart-Fly transmitter plugs into the R/C receiver channel that you want to control with a switch on your R/C transmitter to kill the engine. The Smart-Fly receiver plugs into the line from the ignition switch that normally goes to the ignition module. Dan.

RE: Setting Up Smartfly Optical Killswitch
Found out why I was having trouble with my Smartfly optical ignition cutoff system or why I was thinking it was being setup properly, the problem was with a low battery pack and a bad LED diode, charged battery and replaced led and walaaaaa!!! Thanks again Dan for the input.

RE: Setting Up Smartfly Optical Killswitch
Glad to help. If your battery pack was low, you should put it on your cycler and make sure the capacity is within 20% of its original value. If not, replace it. If your battery pack is more than three years old, you should replace it with a new one. Just a couple of tips to keep you flying instead of that other stuf. Dan.
