Byron large scale wing joiners and receivers

Does any one have any of the large scale receivers that Byron used in his giant scale planes? They measured 1 1/2" by 1/2" by 2 1/2".

Sig sells a smaller version. I tried them. But thanks for the reply!

I always used (4) on Byron wings because I never felt safe using just one per panel. Tubes are more secure.

Interesting thought. I haven't flown a big plane with them. I did fly a bunch of Byron DF stuff with the smaller ones.
My Corsair is one of the first shipped out way back when. Still needs clear coat. And I want to update the push rods and servos before I fly it.

The Glasair and Pipe Dream shared the same wings and two joiners per wing panel were used. I elected not to use the joiners in my build which ended up being a mistake. I used 1/8" aircraft plywood spars that overlaped the fuselage former however I didn't account for the drag forces. As i leaned out the engine and speed increased the right wing panel failed. I have another fuselage and most of the parts to build another, just need a set of windows, wish I could find a set.

Dean,
They are on the way.

OMG! You didn't even give me a price yet!
Are you on Facebook? There is a couple of Byron groups there that I just discovered while looking for the receivers.

Tony Hallo 05-11-2020 03:25 PM

No I don't do facebook.
Here's a quote from another forum that I find to be true
"Nice to see you kept the build thread going Roger. Facebook has decimated forums which I don't understand because Facebook empowers the worst elements in society while also putting our personal information out for everyone to mine."

Probably just as well. A well known person was asked about personal info and privacy on the internet. His reply was, "It's too late. Google and facebook have already done the damage".

The Glassairs that I saw there were already sold.

They have arrived1
