Don, It seems I'm the only one who will respond. I sure appreciate the effort. I had to work on our COD while stationed aboard USS Constellation CVA-64 from 72 till 75. One of my favorite twins, wish I could find a kit of it. Can you provide more info and update more photos. I never knew plans existed. How could I go about starting/attempting to build my own. Very impressive. Matter of fact, I really would like to build one. Please respond here or e-mail me, I'll provide phone number. Thanks a bunch, MM

You might want to try and contacy TOOLOW, here on RCU he
has a S2F Tracker that he built, is using G23's in it, BTW he is a
retired Tracker water bomber pilot, used to fly them to fight
forest fires. Quite a nice guy to chat with.

I flew the Stoof in a Navy Reserve squadron in 1963. We flew with the Canada squadron at Quonset Point, RI. I have the Plans and would be willing to have them coppied for anyone willing to pay the printing cost. (approx. $50.00). I'm waiting for Promark to send the markings, rubbing 70,000 rivets in the mean time.

I have seen Don's work in person. He is one of the builders of old. Cuts parts from plans etc.

This is amazing seeing Don has been working on it for only 3 months. It is all painted and he is currently working on the markings. Should be ready in a couple of weeks. I can only wish I had 10% of his talent

I will not steal his thunder and post pics that I have taken. I will leave that up to him. Lets just say it is amazing!!!!!!!

Great work Don

Let me be one of the first to say "she's beautiful!"...

Have you thought of contacting one of the magazine publishers to do an article?

I am definately "in" for a set of plans. Moving this summer, so can I buy a set in the fall?

Beauty! I was in the RCN with VS-880 Sqdn and was onboard Bonaventure when we were in Quonset. Small world! Didn't fly, was a mechanic. Loved the Trackers, bags of power. Our carrier was relatively small, under 800 feet long, but the Trackers could still manage a free takeoff, NO CAT!

I'm interested in the plans if they are still available. What span, etc> I'd like something in the 72"" range> Is that doable?

She's beautiful!
Spent most of my career in S-3's, but when I first reported to my Squadron in 1975 they still had 2 Stoofs, so got 40 or 50 hours before they finally went away.

Hi Don,
Awesome job on the tracker. I'm in N. Scituate RI about 15 miles from Quonset. Have seen many warbirds especially when the Quonset air show was going on. You have done justice to the plane.
Thanks,
