Default another hangar 9 P-51 miss America success

Same setup as on my at-6, except the esc:
axi 4130/16, 6S2P Irate 2200, APC 15*10E.
I have a hacker 48 opto with ubec. With this esc, I draw 5A more than the same setup and a jeti 77A....
Around 650W for 3.8 kg
Flaperons (not used today because the wind blew at 35 km/h)The plane take off took only 20ft (maybe due to the high head wind).
I find the model more unstable than muy AT-6, maybe because the CG is a bit aft.
I will decrease the throws on ailerons slightly.
in flight motor duration is 9 minutes (10.5 on the AT-6).
Great plane [8D]

Luc,

How about sharing a few pictures of your conversion with us?

We definitely want to see them.

here are some pics
The first one is the std one
The second one whows the inside plate with velcro for my batteries. The esc is hidden on the left. In the middle (white) you see the ubec, and on the right 2 HS 85 mg. Batteries are secured also ith some garden strips and the yellow, velcro covered, strip
The last one shows the outside with the 3.5" alu spinner and a painted pilot (1/6th, slightly big but cheap and already painted)

Default RE: another hangar 9 P-51 miss America success

All of the reviews that I have read on the Hangar 9 Miss America P-51 are based on a 4 stroke motor. I'm more interested in a 2 stroke. I have a concern with the mounting of the motor. The 4 stokes are shown mounted upside down, while (as far as I know) the 2 stroke would have to be mounted on its side to accomodate for a pitts muffler - right? If someone has any experience with this concern of mine then please reply. Thank you
